We offer amazing ice cream sandwiches made from gourmet, all natural ice cream, smashed between two warm, freshly baked, and totally delicious homemade cookies.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The story of MOOJO starts with Matt Petersen and Matt Weldon. In March of 2014 they set their sights on Texas to realize their dream of opening an ice cream sandwich shop.
Petersen and his pregnant wife Ashley packed up their two dogs (one very small and one very large) and all their belongings, loaded them into their Jeep and hit the rocky road from Northern California. Weldon came down from Chicago to meet those two cookies in Austin. Ashley was bursting with joy that shortly thereafter became a moment of joy, Bennett, a bouncing boy of xxlbs, and so MOOJO was born.
The Matts have always loved ice cream sandwiches and Ashley has always had a passion for creating and eating anything gooey and scrumptious so we came together to create these pretty awesome desserts. Eating natural, fresh and sustainable foods has always been a part of our lifestyle and we are really excited to bring fresh, homemade products to Moojo.
Always inspired by the amazing food scene in Austin and a love for all its quirks and character, we believed it was a natural choice for us to land here and we are honored to become a part of the local food culture.

We focus on all natural products and proving moments of joy for our customers!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location with plans to add a second this year.
