Hello, this is Professor Danny Alvarez, I am 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and have been training in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for about 15 years. My journey as a student in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began in 1998. Since that time I have trained and studied under some the best Jiu-Jitsu instructors throughout the United States and the World such as the Mendes Bros, Andre Galvao, the Miyao Bros, Ricardo de la Riva, Vitor Shaolin Ribeiro, Wendell Alexander, Robson Moura, Rubens Cobrinha Charles, Augusto Tanquinho Mendes, Marcelo Garcia and many more.
My thirst for Jiu Jitsu knowledge continues to grow as each day passes. I am always looking to travel or bring the Top Jiu Jitsu players to my academy to learn the Newest and Best techniques to add to his Game and to his Team.
Throughout my career I have been very active and very Successful at every level of competition. I am currently an IBJJF World Champion in the GI and a 3X IBJJF NO GI World Champion. I have earned over 30 Championship Titles at Black Belt along with competing against some of the best Jiu Jitsu has to offer.
Competing all over the country and the world like Rome, Italy, Lisbon, Portugal and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has allowed him to develop and hone the mental capacity to Conquer One’s Self and face all challenges. This indomitable spirit has become a cornerstone of his teaching and is his goal to pass the “Never Give Up” philosophy to his students.

Alvarez BJJ is an academy for All ages 5 years old and up. We have helped Hundreds of students reach their Health and Fitness Goals with some students losing as much as 120 pounds! That's right! We have a student (Fort Worth Police Officer) that was a 330 lbs and is now 210 lbs. We have helped some students even Quit smoking.
Our Kids program is the #1 Kids Program in the Arlington, Mansfield and Grand Prairie TX area. They have won so many 1st place Team Titles that there are too many to list here. All of our Kids are Encouraged and Expected to bring home nothing but A's on their Report Cards. Our academy is a NO BULLY ZONE meaning we talk to our kids all the time about how to handle a Bully situation and also Not becoming one.
